The Swiss Branch of the EBTA is organizing the annual European workshop in Zurich. They have found a location that allows us to keep the price for the workshop, the same as it was last year in Barcelona!

TEACHERS: Shuho Taniuchi, …Hiroki Nagaoka, … Yuko Kondo.

Taniuchi sensei has taught in Europe many times before. Nagaoka-sensei has taught in Europe before, and this will be the first time for Kondo-sensei. Up to three of the EBTA senior teachers will also teach each day.

It will take place at the “Volkshaus” in the “Weisser Saal”. Since its establishment in 1910, the Volkshaus was always a place to meet and exchange ideas. It is in the vicinity of the main station and located in the center of Zurich. The neighborhood is a lively area with many restaurants and bars just next to the Helvetiaplatz which holds a local farmer’s market on Friday mornings. In the basement of the Volkshaus building is also located a Hammam.

The Volkshaus location is easily accessible and not far from Zurich central station.It is about a 10 minutes’ walk from the main station. The tram no. 8 stops at “Helvetiaplatz” which is located directly in front of the Volkshaus. Otherwise, you can walk 3 minutes from the tram station “Stauffacher”. There are the trams no.: 2 / 3 / 9 / 14. Bus station “Helvetiaplatz” is the stop for bus No. 31 and bus station “Kanonengasse” is also not far. There are many places to get lunch near the venue.

The first two days will run from 9.00-18.00, the third day from 9.00-16.00.

The annual general membership meeting will be held on Friday after the day’s workshop.

We are also organizing a group dinner on Saturday (at your own cost) and will inform you with more details about that later.
